The setup hides detailed release time and the release reason. Those facts should come from the sheriff's retained record.
Forsyth Weekend Release Timing
A 72-hour range can bridge Friday court activity, weekend bond processing, and the next business day. Forsyth lists its jail bond contact at 770-781-2227 as available 24 hours a day. That does not mean every public field updates at the same moment.
Use the court docket to check the legal event and the jail record to check custody. A bond release leaves the case active. A transfer may end the county booking while custody continues elsewhere. Holiday closures can affect when a detailed records response arrives, even though custody operations continue.

A request does not need to claim that the person was released. Neutral wording such as “record showing the custody outcome for this booking” allows the response to reflect a release, transfer, or continued custody without building an assumption into the question.
Online visibility may end before the agency's record retention does. No fixed public P2C display period was found, so a missing card should be described only as a missing public result. The sheriff's retained record and any lawful limits on disclosure control the response.
Forsyth Release Alerts Beforehand
Georgia VINE is more useful before a possible weekend release than after it. Locate the matching person while the custody record is active, then register for an available phone, email, text, TTY, or app notice. Forsyth's local victim-notification material lists phone and TTY access as well as the web service. A notice can mark a release or another custody change without requiring repeated manual searches throughout the three-day span.
VINE is a status and alert system, not a permanent release archive. Its result may not provide the jail's legal release reason, exact time, or receiving agency. Read Forsyth Release Status Carefully
The same top-level area in Forsyth P2C can be labeled “Expected release” for a future-facing date and “Released” when the date is in the past. That label is useful but limited. It does not reveal the detailed timestamp or reason because the county's public settings hide both rows. It also does not prove whether a transfer followed the end of the booking.
Bond fields add context. P2C can show bond type, bond status, bond amount, and total bond. Yet a bond amount alone does not establish that payment was completed or that the jail released the person. The court docket may show the order, while the jail custody record confirms the actual exit. Over a three-day period, these records may reflect different stages of the same process.
A no-result page has several possible causes. Search terms may be wrong, the public card may no longer display, or the person may belong to a different agency. Try the required last name with a first name, middle name, age, charge, or arrest date. Then use the records path rather than turning the lack of a public match into a release claim.
Forsyth Transfers to State Custody
GDC becomes the main source when a Forsyth County defendant receives a state-prison sentence. Its offender query supports names, GDC ID, case number, physical details, institution, conviction county, and active or inactive scope. A conviction-county filter can narrow a Forsyth case, but it does not mean the person is housed in Forsyth County.
Active status points toward current state custody or another active GDC status. Inactive records cover the released or discharged side. Detailed records may show most recent institution, maximum possible release date, actual release date, sentence rows, and incarceration history. The actual release date is stronger proof of a completed GDC release than the county jail's earlier transfer date.

This source-by-source approach avoids turning one limited field into a broad claim. It also preserves the difference between leaving Forsyth County Jail and leaving all custody. If GDC, BOP, ICE, or another county received the person, follow that agency's record until the final status is clear.
